Course Overview

The programme was improvised in the Malaysia HCFC Phase-out Management Plan (HPMP) focuses on the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Sectors (RACs) to ensure competent technician in RAC Sector in line with Regulation 5(1) and (2) Environment Quality Regulation (Refrigerant Management 1999).

Course Content

Lecture on type of refrigerants and refrigerants handling · Practical – Refrigerant recovery process · Theory and practical assessment

Who Should Attend

  • Maintenance technicians and mechanical fitters in process facilities.
  • Engineers responsible for rotating and static equipment reliability.

Prerequisites

  • Basic understanding of mechanical equipment.
  • Participants should be physically fit for practical workshop sessions.

Methodology

  • Lecture sessions on fundamentals, followed by hands-on practical work.
  • Theory and practical assessment.
