Course Overview

This course is for electrical users involved in modelling. The course features an introduction to the graphics environment, equipment modelling, and routing techniques for cableway, cable tray, ductbank and conduit as well as routing cables.

Who Should Attend

  • Design engineers, draughtsmen and technicians entering plant design work.
  • Fresh graduates in mechanical, civil, electrical or chemical engineering.
  • Practising engineers moving from 2D drafting to 3D plant modelling.

Prerequisites

  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Windows.
  • An engineering or technical background is helpful but not required.

Methodology

  • Instructor-led sessions with live demonstration.
  • Hands-on workshops on individual workstations — one participant per machine.
  • Progressive exercises building towards a complete worked example.
