Industrial Gas Turbine: Operation, Support Systems and Maintenance Fundamentals

PDMEC Lab, Kemaman

Course Overview

This three-day face-to-face course provides technicians and engineers with a fundamental understanding of industrial gas turbine systems, operation and maintenance. Participants will learn the working principle of gas turbines, the Brayton Cycle, major components and their functions, as well as key support systems including air filtration, fuel, lubrication, hydraulic, starting, instrumentation and control systems. The course also covers gas turbine start-up sequences, operating parameter monitoring, basic troubleshooting indicators, maintenance strategies, inspection activities and performance trending. Designed as a theory-based technical programme, the course strengthens participants' knowledge of safe operation, equipment reliability and maintenance awareness for gas turbines used in power generation and industrial mechanical-drive applications.
